In November 2020 I relocated from Hattiesburg, MS to Galveston, TX.  My passion at the time was painting and the only camera I had ever used were those disposable ones or my iPhone.  Space was limited in my new apartment so I couldn't do much painting. 

 

In March of 2021 I went out to meet a friend one night at a local bar in Galveston.  Music is another passion of mine and is very therapeutic. 

 

As I waited on my friend to show up I contemplated leaving because I felt awkward hangin alone.  About the time I started to leave the band started.........

 

 The music stopped me in my tracks and I soon forgot I was alone.  It was just me and the music playing.  Something made me want to start taking pictures with my iphone.  I started snapping away and during the break the lead singer, Dave, asked if I would send him the pictures.  I told him sure and sent him all the ones I had taken. 

 

That night, someone recognized something in me that even people who had known me my entire life never seen......

 

An eye for photography. 

 

After that, I started taking pictures of all the live bands I seen.  Music is what awakens my artsy side and makes me want to capture the moment to help viewers see and feel what I see and feel when I attend a live band performance.  I finally upgraded from my iphone to a Nikon camera.  I knew absolutely zilch about operating a big girl camera.  Dave continued to help me every way he could from learning the new camera and also letting me take thousands of pictures of his band, OMG H-Town. 

 

In November 2021 I was asked by Zach Tate to take all the band pictures at the 2021 Lone Star Rally!!  I was blown away at how far I had come in so little time.  I got to meet and take pictures of artists such as Colt Ford, Whey Jennings, Lee Greenwood, Highway to Hell, Dalton D' Rich , Joe Satriani, Chris Janson, Everclear and more. 

 

For anyone who has read this, if there is something you dream of accomplishing, GO AFTER IT!!  Learn all that you can so that you can BE ALL YOU CAN!! 

 

I am dedicating this page to my mother....... without her none of this would be possible!!  Also a very special thanks to  OMG H-Town, Dave Ng, The Examiners and Zach Tate!  Thank you for seeing in me what I never saw in myself and giving me the courage to build a dream!!  And Lexie....thank you for showing me those red dots lol!!
